Title: Program ManagerGeneral Responsibilities:Ensures the successful achievement of Delaware Futures' vision, mission, and purpose. The primary responsibility of the position is to continuously improve the agency's programs. The Program Manager will assist in providing educational growth and development for the students within the guidelines and policies of the organization. The Program Manager will maintain awareness of practices and trends, which might have a positive impact on the organization's program.Job Duties:Works collaboratively with the Executive Director in the areas of program development and strategic planning. Provides guidance to the organization's staff and volunteers in carrying out program objectives. Ensures that programs of the organization are consistent with the budget allocations. Establishes and maintains working relationships with entities to heighten the organization's visibility. Establishes/maintains guidance and rapport with students/parents in the program Keeps abreast of information on higher education, scholarships, etc., and makes the information available to students. Identifies, repairs, and stores the wilderness equipment for trips taken by the students. Develops and maintains the ongoing growth of the Photography Club. Meets individually with assigned students twice a month so that they continue to meet the requirements of the program. Attends daily, weekly, or monthly meetings pertaining to students' behavior, curriculum development, or other concentrations to strengthen the agency. Prepares monthly reports for the Executive Director about program services. Provides guidance and direction for the staff in the absence of the Executive Director. Demonstrates professional behavior at all time to provide a positive role model for the students. Keeps the Executive Director abreast of any potential problems or issues that jeopardize the students, staff, or any part of the organization. Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications:Skills and experience in educational programming. Undergraduate degree required in a related area. Experience working with low-income youth. Familiarity with the barriers to higher education faced by low-income populations and with the procedures for successful college preparations/admittance. Knowledge of ABC and ABC in class room. Computer Skills and a valid driver license.Immediate Supervisor:Executive Director |
